Bio

I am a native of Mississippi. In 1987, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Alabama.  Followed by a Master of Arts degree in 1991 from the University of North Alabama. Upon graduation, I began teaching in Morgan County, Alabama at West Morgan and Danville High Schools.  There I taught Chemistry, Physics, Advanced Physical Science, Biology and Environmental Science.  I left Decatur in 1993 to return to my alma mater, Belmont High School.  There I was in charge of the gifted program for grades 7-12.  In addition, I taught Advanced Chemistry and Advanced Biology for gifted students.  I married and moved to Florence in 1994.  Currently, I am employed as a physics, physical science, Earth science, and environmental science teacher at Wilson High School.  Furthermore, I enjoy teaching web-based biology in the state ACCESS program. At Wilson, I sponsor the science club. My husband and I reside in Florence, Alabama with our 16-year-old son and 9-year-old daughter.
